Welcome to DPS Academy                                                                                                     404-924-1991

DPS™ Academy aspires to be an outstanding educational-athletic organization that provides a high-quality experience to children five-to-twelve years old who desire to play soccer. A high-quality experience is one in which every aspiring soccer player

  • Is coached using the principles of Positive Coaching
  • Has fun playing the game
  • Feels like an important part of the team regardless of performance
  • Learns "life lessons" that have value beyond the pitch
  • Learns the skills, tactics and strategies of soccer and improves as a player

DPS™ Academy has been awarded the Positive Coaching Alliance Seal of Commitment, given to youth sports organizations that assures parents and guardians that their children’s coaches in the DPS Academy are committed to the first goal of winning and the second, more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports, which is directly linked to the theme – Building Great Skills, Great Spirits, and Great Sportsmanship.

DPS™ Academy exists to develop lifelong players who enjoy playing the "beautiful game" so much that they pass
on their intensity and excitement to all of those who watch them train and play.

At DPS™ Academy we consistently develop children in the fundamentals of soccer, and instill in them a love of the game, so they remain lifelong players and lovers of the sport.

The DPS™ Way inspires the dreams of any child by combining their desire (talent) to play soccer with a focused learning environment (instruction).

Discipline - Dedication - Passion - Performance - Sportsmanship - Strength
We welcome all children, regardless of race, creed or national origin.

Learning is More Important than Winning

  • Intrinsic rewards are more important in creating lifetime athletes
  • Self knowledge that grows out of self competition.
  • Fun is pivotal; if it is not ‘fun’, children won’t play a sport.
  • Skill development then becomes a crucial aspect of fun; it is more important that winning even among the best athletes.
  • Extrinsic rewards -victory or attention from others are not essential.

DPS is the skills-based method that prepares children five-to-twelve years old for a lifetime of soccer and an American style of the game.
